Randy came to THD after a successful 35-year background in construction and factory engineering, design, project/program management, domestic and international business startups, business and finance and executive leadership roles, as well as total quality improvement Six Sigma black belt and statistical analytical process improvement trainer.
Randy’s early career was in industrial and commercial construction in roles of electrician, electrical foreman and superintendent, master welder, and controls/instrumentation worker. Randy later continued his career as manager/director of instrument and controls for a leading machine tool manufacturer, and thereafter took on the role as Senior Manager of Robotics and Factory Automation for a custom design/build factory automation contractor.
It was from this step in his career that Randy began with Allied Signal/Delphi as an Engineering Specialist for its first international factory in France. Randy spent the next 12 years living and working abroad in France, Mexico, India, Thailand, and South Africa. During that time, Randy was responsible for greenfield startups and overall business management for projects in France, Mexico, Brazil, India, Thailand, Australia, China, and South Africa.
Randy held progressively more responsible roles with Allied Signal/Delphi as Engineering Specialist, International Startup Manager, International Director Operations, In Country President, Managing Director of two joint ventures, and board member of three international entities. After 12 years, Randy returned to U.S. headquarters as VP International Ventures and oversaw business case development for several new international and domestic ventures.
Following his time with Allied Signal/Delphi, Randy began a new chapter in wireless telecommunications infrastructure and held senior management and executive roles for various infrastructure buildouts in the Southeast, Northwest, Alaska, and the Southwest regions completing network builds for AT&T, Verizon, Nextel, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Clearwire.
